W h o   A r e    W e ?

The Gian Foundation was started in 2002 to promote skills for life. The organisation gained charitable status in 2003.

The Gian Foundation has been set up to sponsor the education of children, primarily but not exclusively, blind and orphaned, thus enabling them to earn a living for themselves in the future.

It is the brainchild of Mr. Yashpal Anand, who had a blind uncle. This uncle, through his own efforts, learned music. He used this talent to lead prayers and to entertain. This increased his self respect and he was regarded as a useful member of the community.

We work with other local charities to improve educational facilities.
