The Education of Harshani

This is a letter we received from Harshini.

Dear Sir,

I am at present following an arts degree course at The Peradeniya University. In this (course) I have to follow three main subjects. I study the subjects of Sinhala, Buddhist Philosophy and History.
 

In addition I have to follow a foundation course laid down for first year students of the university. Besides there is a computer course, which I follow here.In my first year I have passed, Sinhala, Buddhist Philosophy and logic with distinction and got a pass in History, English and record keeping skills competency.

The second semester examinations were concluded on 16 May. I am sorry I cannot send the results as yet. I expect to continue at this university as a second year student from

13 June 2005. I will notify later whether I will be following a special degree course.

I hope to send some more photographs of the scenic spots of the university.

2008 Update:

I am following an art degree course at Peradeniya University. In this I have to follow three main subjects. I study the subject of Sinhala, Buddhist Philosophy and History.

I finished below the examination results in the first semester of the first year .

Passed with distinction - Sinhala, Buddhist Philosophy and Logic.
Passes - History, English and Record keeping skills competency.

Harshani has also received a certificate in Pali Language and has successfully participates in "Project and Research Proposal" writing.
